Oven Dried Cinnamon Apples Slices
In a bin in my parents’ basement there is certainly a small wreath made of dried cinnamon apples, a white paper plate and some ribbon. I made it at Christmas time in my second grade class. We toiled over these apple slices for days; carefully cutting the apples, arranging them in trays and laying them over every square inch of our classroom. It smelled heavenly and remains a core memory of elementary school. Since then, I’ve had a love of cinnamon apples for eating and decorating. I’ve since learned I don’t have to cover my house in precariously placed baking trays of apples. It takes just a few hours in the oven!

- Sprinkle with cinnamon for flavor or just a lovely scent.
- Bake in oven for about 3 hours at the lowest heat level on your oven. This ranges from about 170-200 degrees Fahrenheit.
